DigiPippi is an online portal that strives to meet girls where they are, and in doing so, make information technology feel more relevant and interesting to them. On the portal, the girls learn about women who have made a career within the IT world, which will help them identify with these role models who share their interest. Through its community chats, forums, and offline social events, the girls will be able to live out, develop, and expand their interest for IT with like-minded peers.
After many years as an educator in a before-and-after school care, Eva Fog saw that there was a disparity between girls´ and boys´ opportunities to embrace digital platforms. So, after being tired of shouting about the need for change without seeing it happen, she decided to create the change herself.
DigiPippi is an online portal that strives to meet the girls at eye-level and in doing so, making IT and technology feel relevant and interesting for them. On the portal the girls will be presented for women who have made a career within the IT and technology world and the girls will hereby be able to identify with these women and achieve role models who share their interest. Through DigiPippi community chats, forums and social offline events the girls will be able to live out, develop and expand their interest for IT and technology with like-minded peers.
